I never understood why “old people” got so excited for the weekend. I guess you just need to get out in the real world and truly hate your job before you can fully appreciate what a Thursday night really means….tomorrow is Friday. I have no plans for the weekend, and honestly could not do a damn thing, but I would still be ecstatic to not be at work. fuck. I forgot I gotta work this Saturday. 4 hours tomorrow, 4 hours Saturday really ain’t a bad gig though.
Anyway, here’s a few jams you can start wangin in preparation for, and throughout the weekend. I’ll get back to that Hip Hop shit Sunday. So let me kick this off with thee Baddest remix I have EVER heard. Never has there been a more goosebump activating melody than the Chicago Bulls intro (although the White Sox intro gets me a pretty hype too). The dudes from Pretty Lights put this one together for their NYE show this year in Chicago. Damn, that place must have been wild. Pretty fuckin cool. Let me also say that Derrick Rose is the baddest man in the NBA.

I guess I could have named this post “don’t be a hater”, or something to that effect. Reason being, I catch myself not liking super popular acts mainly because I think a lot of people just like stuff because of it’s name, and really just don’t want to be the odd one out when everyone else is talking about how awesome “so and so” is. Similar to the “bandwagon” fan in sports. Anywho, Deadmau5 and Tiesto are two that I find myself hating on a little. Not because I don’t think they’re super talented, but because I don’t really see what seems to warrant ALL the hype. Can’t really hate on these too much though.

Alright, these next two I wouldn’t really consider club jams, but they are a nice pair of remixes that, depending on the crowd, I might include on a playlist if I had to prepare one for a pregame/small get together, before shit got crazy. By the way, I don’t think I’ve come across a remix to “Night by Night” I haven’t liked. Great song.
