I’ll keep this short and sweet. My man B-Weezy (big contributor to The Funk) is getting hitched pretty soon and asked for my assistance with putting together a list of songs he may need to provide the wack ass DJ he may have accidentally hired.
So here you go bro. Congrats again on the big day. I hope this playlist introduces/reminds you of a couple of joints that’ll get that dance floor poppin. I kill the dance floor at weddings btw. Maybe there’s a future for me as “The Wedding DJ?”….
I’m tired of hearing people hate on shit. I know I’m guilty myself, but I’m consciously trying not to be such a fucking hater. I do hate on dudes like 2 Cainz and sometimes Rick Ross, but I don’t usually go out of my way to bring them up or point out there downfalls. Usually. So I’d like to take this time to CHAMPION an artist. That artist, of course, is Big K.R.I.T.. Today marks the release day of his debut LP, Live From The Underground. Download it at iTunes. I’ll have something to say after I get a full listen through during my commute tomorrow. But before I do that, take a listen to a new one from TheBlkHands featuring Big Krizzle to go along with my personal Best of Big K.R.I.T. playlist/mixtape. Happy Birthday hip hop.
Valentines Day Love Jams: New John Legend, Bei Maejor, Frank Ocean, Kofi Black, Raheem DeVaughn + Classic Baby Makin Playlist
Man, I’ve been missing some quality RnB music in my life for a minute now. Maybe that’s why I’m so tense. I don’t know if it’s that I don’t look in the right places or if it’s that the type of smooth-ass slow jams I grew up loving just aren’t appealing to the masses anymore, and therefore aren’t produced like they use to be. Seriously, how is R. Kelly still putting out albums and I don’t even hear about it? Is it me, or is it the quality? Jagged Edge, 112, where you at!? Slim, I heard that weak-ass solo mixtape dog, give it up and get the crew back together. Well, at least we still got John Legend. I got high hopes for Frank Ocean and The Weeknd, as well. But speaking of the current, I was able to pull together a handful of quality new RnB jams I thought were appropriate for the hallmark holiday. But the real treat is my “Baby Makin’ Music” playlist below. So if you’re in need of something to the set the mood for those late night festivities with the wifey, then look no further. That’s almost a full 80 minutes worth of material, so if you make it through the whole shit you’re a fuckin’ champ. Shit, if I make it through the first 5 songs I’m chalking that one up as a W. Ya’ll can thank me later.
Lack of motivation, my greatest enemy. That’s why I haven’t been up on my shit. I did manage to find this little gem courtesy of Xaphoon Jones, also known as the whiter half of Chiddy Bang, and felt the need to share. Also, figured I hadn’t thrown a playlist up in a while, so here’s a lil something for the rest of your weekend.
(Mp3): Big Sean ft Kanye West – Marvin & Chardonnay (Xaphoon Jones Remix) (right click, “save as” to dl)
Welp, Sunday is the big day. Haven’t really thought about it much until today, probably because I know it’s going to be hell. The furthest I’ve run so far was 20 miles, and I was struggling quite a bit the last few. I made it the whole way running and all, it’s just that I never wanted to stop using my legs so badly in my life when I was done. Oh well, it’s definitely gonna leave a solid sense of accomplishment, and that’s a good thing. Here’s the last of 26.2 Miles & Running playlist that’ll be getting me over the hump and back into my bed.
(MP3): Nas – Nevergreen Made U Look
(MP3): DMX – We Right Here
(MP3): Dr. Dre – Still D.R.E.
(MP3): Outkast – ATLiens
(MP3): Jadakiss – Can’t Stop Me
(MP3): M.O.P. – Ante Up
(MP3): Nas – Hero
Damn, didn’t even realize it’s been that long since I posted a playlist rounding out my recent individual material. Oh well, it just makes for a longer set with more options. You could let this shit run and get at least 4 or 5 games of NBA 2k in! Enjoy.
Keep on truckin…
(MP3): Jaydiohead – Dreaming Up
